Modern Diagnostic Capability
Community Animal clinic is pleased to offer up-to-date modern veterinary diagnostic equipment.
We have an in-house laboratory where we are able to obtain most results within minutes. We also offer in house Ultrasound. For special lab testing we use an external reference lab with results returned usually within 24 hours.
Some example of our in-house tests include:
- Preoperative profiles
- Wellness profiles
- Sick profiles
- Electrolyte profiles
- Baseline thyroid testing
- Tests for parvo, heartworm, FeLV/FIV, pancreatitis
- Parasite testing
- Ear/skin disease testing
Our DR digital x-ray machine can produce images within seconds, and we have the ability to send out radiographs electronically to board certified radiologists for second opinions on x-rays in case they’re needed. The images are also stored in the pet’s record and can be emailed to specialists or for emergency needs.
We also offer ultrasound. Ultrasound is a great tool in veterinary medicine. This state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves rather than radiation (as used in x-rays) to thoroughly examine specific internal organs. It is a pain-free, non-invasive way for veterinarians to diagnose many problems with your beloved pet.
Through ultrasound, doctors can get a thorough view of your pet’s internal organs. It allows doctors to visually assess the function of the heart, tumors, liver disease, kidney disease, bladder stones, pregnancy, and much more without invasive surgery.
Other diagnostics for specific diseases are available on a case-by-case basis.
